VANCOUVER — Destination Canada has announced that president and CEO David Goldstein will be stepping down from his role at the destination marketing organization.

Following Goldstein’s departure, Anwar Chaudhry, current SVP, Finance and Risk Management and Chief Financial Officer, will assume the role of interim president and CEO, effective November 2. Chaudhry will be supported by an elevated role for all vice-presidents.

“I was recently uplifted by the words of Rahm Emanuel, the former Mayor of Chicago, who recently announced he would not be running again, to which he said, this has been the job of a lifetime…but not a job for a lifetime.’ I couldn’t agree more,” Goldstein says in an online statement.

Goldstein announced on LinkedIn that he will be joining Gusto Worldwide Media as its Chief Operation Officer.
