VANCOUVER — Destination Canada and the Réseau de développement économique et d’employabilité (RDÉE Canada) have signed a memorandum of understanding intended to bring more recognition to tourism organizations and the experiences they offer to Francophones and Francophiles wishing to visit Canada.

The Corridor patrimonial, culturel et touristique francophone, an initiative managed by RDÉE Canada, lists a range of heritage, cultural and tourism products and services that offer visitor services in French. Destination Canada’s Canadian Signature Experiences are a collection of once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences found only in Canada. The alliance between these two organizations will bolster the export potential of Francophonie experiences throughout the country.

“Working with RDÉE Canada enables us to collaborate and inspire international travellers to come and celebrate the uniquely francophone experiences only found in Canada,” says David F. Goldstein, president and CEO of Destination Canada. “With international travellers spending over $21 billion in Canada last year, the economic benefit to these businesses impacts communities from coast to coast to coast.”
