TORONTO — Delta Hotels and Resorts has announced plans to convert a property in Kingston, Ont.’s city centre in the spring of 2013.

The Delta Kingston Waterfront Hotel will boast 126 guestrooms, an indoor rooftop pool, more than 5,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and views of Lake Ontario. “Ideally located on the waterfront in the heart of the city, the hotel supports our strategy of selecting premier locations in key markets,” said Ken Greene, president and CEO, Delta Hotels and Resorts. “The property has a strong track record of performing well in the full-service category, and we anticipate this will grow stronger following our renovations.”

The renovation, will transform the hotel into Kingston’s first four-star, upscale property. The design features Delta’s latest ModeRoom guestrooms and the lobby and public spaces will be revamped to include a new restaurant and lounge.

Currently branded a Radisson hotel, the property is owned and managed by Diamond Hotels Inc. The hotel will be licensed under the Delta brand once renovations are finished.
