MONTREAL — The Delta Centre-Ville hotel in Montreal has been purchased by the North Carolina-based Campus Crest Communities, Inc. and Beaumont Partners SA for approximately $60 million.

“Delta Hotels and Resorts has been managing the Delta Centre-Ville hotel since 1999 and has not been involved in the business decision to sell or close the property,” said David Bird, SVP of Operations, Delta Hotels and Resorts. “We empathize with the employees who are affected by this decision, and we will support them through the transition period. They will be offered career counselling services through global talent mobility firm Lee Hecht Harrison, and we will also look to help with relocations where possible.”

The 711-room property features two restaurants, including a revolving rooftop establishment as well as 24 meeting rooms with more than 35,000 sq. ft. of space. Owned by InnVest REIT, and managed by Delta Hotels and Resorts, the property will close by the end of October to be converted to upscale student housing.
