BETHESDA, Md. — Courtyard by Marriott has unveiled its new virtual concierge, a lobby-based touch-screen system that allows travellers to access weather, flight information and entertainment.
“We are thrilled to present this new technology to our guests,” said Janis Milham, vice-president and global Brand Manager for Courtyard by Marriott. “This development helps us deliver on our brand promise of giving our customers more options to empower them while on the road.”
Produced by GoBoard 4.0 technology, the TV-sized touch screen provides essential information, such as news, weather and local area mapping. Guest can also access information from its screen to a smartphone, providing airport and flight information, local entertainment events and transportation details.
The GoBoard is available at more than 390 U.S. properties and 25 hotels internationally, including seven sites in Canada. Courtyard plans to add GoBoards to all domestic and international hotels within the next few years.
