NEW YORK — Canada has earned kudos on Condé Nast Traveler’s annual list of the Top 50 Ski Hotels, with the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre and Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise earning the ninth and tenth spot respectively, on the December listing, which gave top billing to the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa in Colorado.

Meanwhile, last month, Condé Nast Traveler magazine released its list of Top 40 Hotels in Canada, based on more than 28,000 reader responses. The top three spots went to Langdon Hall Country House Hotel & Spa in Cambridge, Ont., Auberge Saint-Antoine in Quebec City, and Hôtel Nelligan, in Montreal, respectively.

British Columbia hotels received multiple nods, with Sooke Harbour House in Vancouver, Fairmont Pacific Rim, Vancouver, and Fairmont Vancouver Airport, rounding out the list. Overall there were a number of standouts with Fairmont earning nods for seven of its properties and Opus Hotel earning acclaim for two of its properties.

“We are honoured to be recognized among many of the world’s top hotel brands for service and the guest experience,” said John deC. Evans, president and CEO of Opus Hotels. “This recognition speaks to our core brand values of being uniquely stylish and always fresh, creating new boutique travel experience for business and leisure guests alike.”
