MONTREAL — Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has announced the completion of renovations at its Méridien Versailles hotel in Montreal. The comprehensive renovation revamped the hotel’s 108-guestrooms (including two penthouse suites), lobby, meeting rooms and public spaces, while introducing the brand’s signature Le Méridien Hub.

“Located in a city with deep European ties, Le Méridien Versailles has a strong connection with our brand’s passions for culture, cuisine and the arts,” says Brian Povinelli, global brand leader for Le Méridien. “The renovation of this hotel brings to life these passions and unlocks the destination for our creative and curious-minded travellers looking for a new way to experience the city of Montreal during their travels.”

In its newly renovated guestrooms, Le Méridien Versailles now offers new beds, seating furniture, custom-designed wallpaper, accent lighting and plush carpeting. In terms of technology, the Montreal property has added new flat-screen televisions, plug-and-play docking stations and enhanced wireless internet service. In the bathrooms, guests will find new low-flow toilets, shower heads and faucets, in an effort to reduce water consumption. Finally, all corridors and hallways now feature new flooring and wall finishes.

“The transformation of our hotel has been an exhilarating journey,” says Massimo Urzillo, GM of Le Méridien Versailles. “We are thrilled to unveil our new look and offerings to our guests. The enhancements to the hotel will provide a new perspective to the city of Montreal.”
