TORONTO — Colliers International Hotels, together with Toronto-based PKF Consulting Canada, has reported on the year-to-date Canadian hotel transaction market highlights.

“Transaction volume through the third quarter of 2014 totalled approximately $826 million with 91
trades reported across the country,” reads the report. “Overall, 10,584 rooms have transacted this year with an average price per room of $73,300, with the bulk of trades consisting of focused-service and limited-service properties in secondary and tertiary markets.”

Third-quarter transaction volume is reported to have reached $245 million (versus $197 million in Q1 and $384 million in Q2. Meanwhile, Colliers and PKF expect year-end volume to reach approximately $1.25 billion, thanks to an active urban full-service pipeline.
