Coast Hotels presents cheque for ALS society

VANCOUVER — Coast Hotels Limited hosted its 20th-annual Coast Hotels Shuhachi Naito Golf Classic. The tournament, supported by more than 20 partner vendors, saw more than 180 guests tee off to raise funds for the ALS Society of British Columbia and the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre. This year, the tournament raised $80,000, surpassing $1 million in funds donated to charities since its inception.

Former executive and long-time Coast Ambassador Shuhachi Naito lost his battle to ALS in 2014. “It was through Shu that we came to know the important work that the ALS Society of British Columbia is doing to support medical advances and to assist ALS patients and families with impactful programs and services,” says Mark Hope, senior VP, Development for Coast Hotels.

“Giving back to the communities we live, work and operate in is woven into the fabric of Coast Hotels and aligns closely with our values,” says Jin Sasaki, president of Coast Hotels. “The opportunity to support the valuable and important work of each of these organizations is a privilege.”
