TORONTO — Choice Hotels Canada has opened three economy brand hotels during the fourth quarter of 2016, growing the total number of properties in the system to 322.
“The growth of our economy brands in Canada is a strong indication of travellers’ needs for comfort, convenience and value while on the road,” says Brian Leon, managing director, Choice Hotels Canada. “We have no doubt these new additions will serve as fantastic representatives of our Econo Lodge and Rodeway Inn brands in Canada.”
Fourth-quarter openings include:
- Econo Lodge, Fox Creek, Alta. (45-room new build)
- Econo Lodge, Sudbury, Ont. (34-room conversion)
- Rodeway Inn, Trois Rivières, Que. (101-room conversion)
The company expects to open four hotels in the first quarter of 2017.
