TORONTO — Choice Hotels Canada has announced three recent leadership appointments that support the increasing success of its franchise network.

Julie Chan-McConnell is the new senior director, Marketing and Distribution. With more than 24 years in the travel industry and 10 years with Choice in 2016, she plays a key role in the development and execution of Choice Canada’s consumer and B2B marketing initiatives, as well as strategic plans spanning loyalty, distribution and most recently revenue management.

Brendan Gibney is now senior director, Franchise Services. Gibney joined Choice in 2012 as a franchise performance consultant in Eastern Canada and was quickly promoted to director, Franchise Operations. He has more than 15 years of hospitality experience with independent hotels and familiar brands such as Westin Hotels and Resorts and Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

Tamer Dalati has been appointed to director, Revenue Management. In his new role, Dalati will elevate all revenue management strategies for Canada and serve as a key member of Choice Canada’s marketing team. Prior to his appointment at Choice, Dalati spent 10 years as the corporate director, Revenue Manager & Commerce at Delta Hotels and Resorts.
