TORONTO — Choice Hotels Canada opened three Quality hotels during the second quarter of 2016, bringing the total number of properties in the system to 318.

The new properties include Quality Inn & Suites, Windsor, Ont. (a 117-room conversion); Quality Inn & Suites Amsterdam, Quispamsis, N.B. (a 49-room conversion); and Quality Hotel & Conference Centre, Abbotsford, B.C. (a 116-room conversion).

“Choice Canada is growing at an amazing pace as we expand our Quality brand nationally,” says Brian Leon, managing director, Choice Hotels Canada. “There’s never been a better time to invest as we launch our new Quality design prototype that’s all about delivering value and unique amenities that appeal to both leisure and business travellers.”

Choice Hotels Canada also added two hotels to its portfolio the first week of July — the newly converted, 79-room Quality Inn, in Owen Sound, Ont. and the Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, an 89-room new-build in Moose Jaw, Sask.

The company expects to open five hotels in the third quarter of 2016.
