For the second year in a row, Cascades is proud to announce the company’s partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Fund (BCRF) through a donation of $0.50 per case sold of its Cascades Pink hand towels.
Even better, Cascades is upping the effort this year by extending the campaign to a full year. “As Cascades celebrates its 50th year, we want to continue supporting such a worthy cause, to help make the world a better place,” said Jean Jobin, Cascades Tissue Group President and Chief Operating Officer.
The BCRF continues to make incredible advances in the areas of prevention, treatment and metastasis, raising $500 million in its decades long history. In 2013 alone, BCRF invested $45 million for the work of over 200 researchers at leading medical institutions across the globe.
Still, even with so much good work being done, “what stands between today and a cure is, pure and simple, funding,” commented Myra Biblowit, president and CEO of the Breast Cancer Research Fund.
“It is through the support of partners like Cascades that BCRF is able to continue to support life-saving research which is bringing us closer to a world without breast cancer every day.”
Made from 100 percent recycled fiber and a minimum 50 percent post-consumer material, the Cascades Pink multifold and roll format towels are colored with non-harmful bye and whitened without chlorine.
“This cause is really important for Cascades. We are all surrounded by extraordinary women in our personal, social and working life that could be affected by breast cancer. The Cascades Pink towels program is our way to help contribute in finding a cure,” said Jobin.
