KITZBÜHEL, Austria — More than 200 ski operators from around the world recently gathered to celebrate the top performers during the 2014 World Ski Awards at the A-ROSA Kitzbühel resort in Austria.

Canadian winners included Bighorn lodge in Revelstoke, B.C. (World’s Best Ski Chalet 2014); Charlie Locke, owner and president, Lake Louise Ski Area in Alberta (Outstanding Contribution to Ski Tourism 2014); The Lake Louise Ski Resort in Alberta (Canada’s Best Ski Resort 2014); Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside in Whistler, B.C. (Canada’s Best Ski Hotel 2014).

Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel took home the award for Canada’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel 2014. “We are incredibly proud and honoured to have received this prestigious award,” said Tony Medd, GM of the Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel. “Being recognized by the World Ski Awards demonstrates that the Summit Lodge is able compete on the world stage as a top hotel in a first- class destination.”
