QUEBEC — The Hôtel de Glace in Quebec is returning for another season from Jan. 4 until March 2023. Located in the province’s Capitale-Nationale region at the Village Vacances Valcartier, the hotel is made entirely of snow and ice and features majestic snow arches, crystal-clear sculptures and unique ice-sculpted rooms.

Named one of the most incredible ice hotels in the world by Travel + Leisure, the 30 rooms and themed suites have a starting price of $399 per night. A one-bed ice room offers the intimacy of an igloo, a welcome cocktail, a room at the Hôtel Valcartier on a same-night stay at the Hôtel de Glace and a discount at the hotel’s spa.

All rooms are kept between -3 C and -5 C and have a bed with a thermally insulated mattress, a winter sleeping bag, an insulated bed sheet and a pillow, while more luxurious rooms have a private hot tub and fireplace.

A training session will be provided beforehand, during which guides will explain the unique experience of sleeping at the hotel and use on all equipment. Guests can access several restaurants at the Village Vacances Valcartier, as well as an outdoor Nordic area with a hot tub, sauna and skating trail.
