NEW YORK — Sixty Hotels, a New York-based luxury lifestyle brand with units in New York City, Los Angeles and Miami, announced plans to build its first hotel in Canada on René Lévesque Blvd. in Montreal.
“The cultural and creative sensibility of the city along with its jet-set style makes Montreal an ideal location to open the next Sixty Hotel,” said Jason Pomeranc, co-owner of Sixty Hotels. “Montreal is filled with eclectic and inspiring neighbourhoods and offers fantastic global appeal. Our plan is to build a hotel that takes its inspiration from the local architecture and character of the city, while injecting Sixty’s flair for hospitality to create a very chic and sophisticated destination hotel.”
With a design by New York-based experiential design and branding firm Icrave and Montreal’s Neuf Architectes, the property will include 120 guestrooms and 70 luxury residences, a signature restaurant and lounge and event space, and an indoor and outdoor rooftop bar and pool.
The boutique hotel is slated to open next year.
