VICTORIA, B.C. — Belleville Park Resort sold for $5.65 million to Dominion Grand Hotel Group, outbidding Saskatchewan-based d3h Hotels, who bid $5.2 million in the court-ordered sale of the properties included in the 1.87-acre site in Victoria, B.C, reports the Times Colonist.

The properties included in the transaction include Huntingdon Hotel and Suites, the Gatsby Mansion and two restaurants. These will be the first owned properties for Vancouver-based Dominion Grand Hotel Group, which operates a Comfort Inn and Suites in Medicine Hat, Alta., and a Comfort Suites and Best Western Plus in Kelowna, B.C.

Mike Jackson, president of the group, told the Times Colonist that it will spend between $2 million and $3 million to renovate the properties in time for the summer tourist season.
