VANCOUVER — The B.C. Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) is now accepting applications for its Hospitality Charity Scholarship Program. This year, the program will be the largest ever, at more than $65,000. The deadline for most submissions is Mar. 31, 2022.

Applications will be accepted for the following scholarships: culinary, wine-business professional, B.C. WISE (wine-industry scholarship and education-fund scholarships), food-and- beverage professional, spirits education, Indigenous and LGBT2Q+ and the Nancy More Award. BCHF’s legacy scholarships, on the other hand, are for students currently enrolled in hospitality-management post-secondary programs. Winners are nominated by their schools.

“The BCHF is best known as the only charity in Canada that raises funds to support hospitality and tourism workers facing financial crisis due to a serious health condition experienced by themselves or a family member. In addition, the organization administers a scholarship program to foster the development of the next generation of hospitality industry workers and leaders,” reads a press release from BCHF.
