TORONTO — Following the expansion of the Local-Lockdown Support Program in December, the federal government has opened the portal for business-subsidy programs for Period 24. The portal will open for Period 25 on Mar. 1, 2022 (exact time TBD).
The regulatory changes under the Local-Lockdown Support Program would apply to claim periods 24 and 25 (Dec. 19, 2021 to Feb. 12, 2022); allow entities to qualify if they’re subject to 50-per-cent capacity restriction or more; and reduce the current-month revenue decline threshold requirement to 25 per cent.
