HALIFAX — New Castle Hotels & Resorts has named Annette Williston the new GM of the Hampton Inn and Suites Halifax-Dartmouth. Williston previously served as the hotel’s assistant GM and has been a part of the team since 2009.
“Annette has a terrific work ethic and a demonstrated ability to meet any challenge and thrive in every aspect of hotel management,” says Guido Kerpel, regional VP Canada, New Castle Hotels & Resorts. “With new capacity entering the market this spring, it is critically important for both our guests and associates that we have strong, consistent leadership going forward. She has earned this promotion and is the hands-down best person for the assignment.
Starting as a front desk supervisor in 2009, Williston has held numerous operational and marketing positions, including director of Sales, Housekeeping manager and front-office manager, before her promotion to assistant GM in 2018.
Hampton Inn and Suites Halifax-Dartmouth features 163 newly refurbished rooms and suites in the heart of Atlantic Canada’s premier shopping and entertainment district, Dartmouth Crossing. The pet-friendly hotel also boasts a heated indoor pool with a 150-foot slide and 1,700 sq. ft. of recently upgraded meeting space.
