MONTREAL — The Alt brand is strengthening its presence in the Montreal area with the opening of the new ALT Hotel Montréal Griffintown, scheduled to open later next month.

“As we continue to expand across the country, this investment demonstrates our commitment to Quebec and our commitment to continuing to strengthen our presence in the market where our company was founded,” said Christiane Germain, co-president and co-founder of Groupe Germain Hospitalité. “Moreover, this strategic decision demonstrates our support and encouragement of the dynamism we’re seeing in Montreal. We are also extremely proud to establish ourselves in Griffintown, an area of Montreal with strong potential, and one that we, along with other pioneers, are helping to revive,”

The $27-million development, designed by MMB Architects, will be integrated into a multi-use building complex and use materials recycled from historic buildings in the surrounding neighbourhood. The 154 guestroom property will sport a design by Montreal firm Lemay Michaud Architecture Design. The property also offers 4,400 sq. ft. of meeting room space, equipped with TVs, projectors, and filled with natural light.
