SAN FRANCISCO — Allison Reid has been named chief Development officer for the Americas region for Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. Reid has a proven track record in development, real-estate investments, finance and hotel operations. In her role at Kimpton, she will be responsible for leading real-estate development and management contracts across the brand.
Prior to Kimpton, Reid served as senior vice-president of North America Development for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, overseeing development and acquisition efforts for all 11 of its brands in North America, the Caribbean and French Polynesia. She was also instrumental in launching three new brands, including Starwood’s Tribute Portfolio, a collection of independent, four-star hotels, where she signed more than 10 deals in the first year.
