ALBERTA — Hotel housekeeping is constantly under scrutiny from the media, but hardworking cleaning crews will earn their due April 25 when 153 award recipients will be named at the Alberta Hotel and Lodging Association’s (AHLA) 2014 Housekeeping Awards.
Winning properties span Alberta, from Grande Prairie to Medicine Hat, and including brands such as Delta, Ramada, Super 8, Best Western, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn, Days Inn (pictured) and a host of other independent properties.
Many hotel operators appreciate the accolade. “Our hotels strive to offer guests an outstanding experience. This award is evidence that their hard work is not going unnoticed,” said Irwin Prince, president & COO, Days Inns – Canada.
The awards will be presented at the AHLA’s Annual Convention in Banff, Alta. Any property that participates in the Approved Accommodation program can be nominated, but inspection results dictate the winners.
