TORONTO — Starting this month, nearly 50 Accor hotels across North America are flying the rainbow flag in celebration of Pride month. Several hotels will offer a “Love is Love” package, available from June 1 through September 6, 2021, with a percentage of every booking donated to local LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations.

The following highlights specific offerings from select Accor hotels in Canada:

  • The Fairmont Royal York in Toronto offers guests a special Pride package that includes 15 per cent off general rates, late checkout, French macaroons in Pride colours and a donation to The519, a City of Toronto agency and registered charity that creates space for change and contributes to the advancement of LGBTQ2S equality and inclusion. The Clockwork Terrace aims to open June 11 (pending government restrictions) to host Pride brunches leading up to Toronto’s virtual Pride Parade.
  • The Fairmont Empress in Victoria will host a Pride lunch and offer several limited-edition food-and-beverage menu items throughout the month of June. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Victoria Pride Society.
  • Accor’s Vancouver properties (Fairmont Pacific Rim, Fairmont Waterfront, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel) have partnered with Dr. Peter AIDS and Vancouver Pride Society for several pride activities. Kendall Gender will be the official Pride ambassador, appearing in videos, social-media campaigns, blog posts and pop-up digital events. Pride-themed food and beverage offerings will be available throughout Vancouver’s Pride Month in August.
