VICTORIA — Accent Inns is providing complimentary hotel stays to a teacher and their entire faculty in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Day. According to a survey conducted by the British Columbia Teachers’ Federation, 83 per cent of teachers experienced worsening mental health since the beginning of the pandemic.

In response, employees from all five Accent Inns locations visited schools in Kamloops, Richmond, Burnaby, Victoria and Kelowna, B.C. to recognize teachers for their efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and present gift baskets containing bubble baths and special discount promo codes for their next stay.

Furthermore, all school staff in B.C. have the chance to win a two-night free stay for their entire school staff on Accent Inns’ Facebook page until Oct. 8, 2021. To win, Facebook users must nominate a school worker to be entered into the draw.

“School workers are heroes in our communities and they all need a well-deserved getaway,” says Mandy Farmer, CEO of Accent Inns. “We wanted to take the time to thank B.C. teachers and school workers for all their hard work, especially during the pandemic.”
