OTTAWA — Marriott International announced plans to build a new, 208-room AC Hotels by Marriott in Canada’s capital. The hotel will be located near Ottawa’s Byward Market and is slated to open in the summer of 2022.
“Following the outstanding success of AC Hotel Montreal Downtown, we’re thrilled to be working with Marriott International again to bring yet another AC Hotel to Canada, this time in Ottawa,” says Marc Varadi, president of Rimap Hospitality.
The AC Hotel will feature modern guestrooms and public spaces designed with sleek furnishings, open-closet systems, elegant art and hardwood floors. There will be an AC Lounge — a communal space of creativity that features a full bar serving local beers and hand-crafted cocktails — as well as European-style breakfast offered in AC Kitchen and a 24-hour wellness centre.
