MONTREAL — Marriott International has debuted its first AC Hotels by Marriott hotel in Canada with the opening of AC Hotel Montréal Centre-Ville.

Located in downtown Montreal, steps away from Quartier des Spectacles and the Palais des congrès de Montréal, AC Hotel Montréal Centre-Ville is ideally situated to appeal to both business and leisure travellers.

“We are delighted to welcome AC Hotels by Marriott’s first Canadian property to Montreal,” says Don Cleary, president, Marriott International, Canada. “AC Hotel Montréal Centre-Ville remains true to the brand’s philosophy, which centres on creating thoughtfully designed moments that remind our entrepreneurial travellers to slow down and draw them into the present.”

The newly constructed hotel is managed by RIMAP Hospitality Services Inc. and is located on the first twelve floors of a 35-storey dual-use high-rise featuring luxury apartments. The hotel is design to cater to well-travelled entrepreneurial spirits with a sophisticated European-inspired aesthetic, as well as an innovative food-and-beverage program.

The hotel’s food-and-beverage offerings includes the AC Kitchen, which features the brand’s signature European-inspired breakfast selection, as well as the lobby-level restaurant, La Palma, which offers Mediterranean-inspired cuisine by chef David Capel. The AC Lounge also offers a communal space designed to function as a collaborative workspace by day and a social hub by night, offering tapas-style appetizers, craft cocktails and a variety of wines and spirits.

The property features 169 oversized guestrooms with hardwood floors, large walk-in showers, floor to ceiling windows and 50-inch HDTVs. Additional features include a 12th-floor swimming pool, exercise room, dry sauna, exterior terrace and 5,900 sq. ft. of meeting space.

The AC Hotel Montréal Centre-Ville adds to the brand’s growing global portfolio of more than 120 hotels across Europe, Caribbean, Latin America and North America.
