TORONTO — Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has partnered with Edmond de Rothschild Heritage — a renowned lifestyle company — to open the first Four Seasons mountain destination in Europe. The project will include the all-new mountainside Four Seasons Hotel, Megève, as well as the conversion of a collection of traditional chalets in the heart of the medieval Mont d’Arbois village, in the French Alps.

“The de Rothschild family has a long history in Megève and we’re honoured they have chosen to partner with us to introduce this incredible destination to the next generation of luxury travellers,” says J. Allen Smith, president and CEO, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “Retaining the history and character of Mont d’Arbois while introducing Four Seasons’ legendary personalized service, we will create something yet unseen in the French Alps.”

The 55-room Four Seasons Hotel, Megève will be the first hotel to offer direct access to the Mont d’Arbois slopes. The Mont d’Arbois chalets will be extensively renovated prior to re-opening as a Four Seasons hotel, offering guests a second destination in the heart of the historic ski village. In addition to the chalet and hotel, Four Seasons will also manage the 18-hole Golf du Mont D’Arbois course and four dining offerings throughout the two hotels.

Four Seasons Hotel, Megève and the Chalet du Mont d’Arbois, Megève, A Four Seasons Hotel are slated to open late 2017. The project will mark the third Four Seasons destination in France, joining the Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris and Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel, in the French Riviera.
