DUNWOODY, Ga. — Melany Hugo has joined the InterContinental Hotels Group as regional Sales and Marketing director. She will be working in Toronto to deliver strategic sales and marketing solutions for the company’s Eastern Canadian properties. Hugo comes to IHG with more than 16 years experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to IHG, Hugo worked at Starwood’s Toronto Metro Market, where she was in charge of direction and strategy for business travel.
Existing IHG associate Anto Vrdoljak is the new manager of Business Development for the company’s Franchise Development Team. In his new role, Vrdoljak will be working with hotel owners to identify franchise opportunities for Canadian mid-scale brands, which include Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites. Vrdoljak joined IHG in 2013 as regional Sales and Marketing director for Eastern Canada. He has more than 20 years of experience in the industry.
