TORONTO — The Thompson Hotel is super-sizing its lodging to accommodate basketball players staying there during the NBA All-Star Weekend.
According to a story by CTV, suites at the Toronto boutique hotel, which boasts a roof-top patio and 24-hour fitness facility, have been equipped with extra-large robes, slippers and beds to accommodate the large stature of some of the players. “We’re fortunate that we have a property that has very high ceilings throughout and high elevators as well, so it’s a perfect place for them to be in Toronto,” says Frank Campo, the hotel’s director of Marketing.
For privacy and security reasons, hotel staff would not say which players are staying at the hotel. This will be the first time an NBA All-Star Weekend has been held outside the U.S. [toronto.ctvnews.ca]
