WHISTLER, B.C. — Travellers to Whistler in the spring will have the option to stay in Canada’s first pod hotel, according to the Vancouver Courier.

The $10 million Pangea Pod Hotel will include 88 self-contained sleeping pods divided among several custom suites, and is meant to bridge the gap between a luxury hotel and inexpensive hostel. Each pod at the Pangea Pod Hotel includes a double mattress, LED lighting, a fan, USB and standard charging points, a lockable cabinet for valuables, hangers for clothes, hooks for towels and free Wi-Fi.

The hotel will also offer a lounge, bar, cafe and espresso bar, a bar with views of Mountain Square and the Toy Box — a secure storage area for skis, snowboards, mountain bikes, accessories and outdoor wear.
