TORONTO — Daniel Craig is the new executive chef at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto.

A seasoned chef, Craig’s skills in utilizing local ingredients in classic dishes align with the brand’s Eat Well Menu offered at Westin Hotels in Canada.

“The Westin Harbour Castle team is thrilled to bring on Daniel Craig as our new executive chef,” says Harmeet Chugh, hotel manager. “Chef Craig is skilled in creating fresh and innovative twists on classic dishes and we’re confident that his expertise in the hospitality industry will elevate the Westin Harbour Castle to new culinary heights.”

Craig has held chef positions at the Fairmont Empress, Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe and Delta Grand Okanagan. He’s also held roles at the Ritz Carlton Toronto and Delta Toronto, as well as the Michelin two-star Abbaye Saint Ambroix, Bourges in France and the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.

Over the years, Craig has competed in a number of international competitions, becoming the first Canadian chef to bring home a gold medal from Chaine des Rotisseurs Jeune Chef Concours in 2006. He’s also won the Marriott ACE Award as the best executive chef in Canada (2017) and the silver medal at the Bocuse D’or National Competition (2016).

“The Westin Harbour Castle has an amazing culture that promotes culinary creativity and I am honoured to join their team,” says Craig. “I have an exciting vision for hotel’s kitchen and am excited to share my plans with the team.”
