TORONTO — The Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council has released the program for its 11th annual Tourism & Hospitality HR Forum, which will focus on talent management and take place at Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre Hotel from Oct. 2 to Oct. 4.

Jim Knight, senior director of Training and Development at Hard Rock International, will present the opening keynote, followed by a presentation by Tyson Matheson, vice-president, People Relations and Inflight Services, WestJet Airlines, followed by a presentation on international training by Ismail Albaidhani, head of Global Partnership and Learning lnnovation, International Air Transport Association. There will also be sessions about attracting top talent; regional, industry and education partnerships; building your brand; and strategies for enhancing visitor experience.

Attendees will choose between attending a HR Bootcamp, which will include a day of hands-on workshops about issues such as attracting talent, or an educator symposium, which will feature labour market information and curriculum strategies to prepare students for a successful tourism and hospitality career.
