CALGARY — Superior Lodging Corp., its sister company, MasterBuilt Hotels and an employee team representing the Super 8, Travelodge and Microtel Inn & Suites in Canada came together to take part in The Big Stir — an annual event providing meals for women, children and youth in crisis.

“Our corporate support of the Big Stir for many years running allows us the opportunity to come together as a team outside of the workplace to make a difference in our community,” said Marc Staniloff, CEO, Superior Lodging Corp. “It feels great to support others by getting involved with this inspiring and unique event, which yielded over 1,000 servings of soup in this one night.”

At the event, 25 teams were supported by their own Calgary-based chef coaching them in the making of their own soup. The soup produced at the event is destined for women and children in emergency and second-stage shelters in the city.
