TORONTO — The team at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel at Toronto Pearson International Airport celebrated its 20th anniversary last night, Jan. 25, with a cocktail reception and tour of its $3-million property renovation.

“We are extremely proud of this hotel. It leads the market, day in and day out,” said David Ogilvie, regional vice-president of Sales and Marketing in welcoming the guests.

Media and clients toured the upgraded rooms and common areas, including the guest lounge, open to Sheraton Club guests, which has a new breakfast bar area and daily evolving menu. The reinvigorated lobby features an upgraded Link@Sheraton lounge, which offers free wireless Internet access and social networking hubs where guests can Skype, check email and print boarding passes. The fitness centre underwent a major revamp, and now features a modern and stylish design and new programs, including nutrition counselling and physical therapy. Meanwhile, meeting spaces have been redefined to incorporate a more tech-forward space, offering a functional space with more natural light.
