MONTREAL― The Palais des Congrès de Montréal will be transformed into a hive of tourism-business activity next April 24 to 27, for the 40th Rendez-vous Canada (RVC), an international tourism marketplace.

Hundreds of global travel buyers from more than 20 countries will meet with Canadian sellers to check out the latest tourism products and services, broker deals and close sales.

These thousands of one-to-one appointments generate millions of dollars in revenue for Canadian tourism businesses, which help grow the $88.5-billion industry and support the 619,000 Canadian jobs that depend on tourism.

“Montreal is world renowned for its fashion, food, arts and culture as well as its unique and authentic tourism experiences,” said David Goldstein, CTC president and CEO. “We’re thrilled to have this city and province in the spotlight for the hundreds of global buyers and media who will gather here in 2016 as the momentum in tourism growth continues its upward trend.”

This year’s event will run from May 26 to 29 at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Ont.
