BOSTON — Airfarewatchdog, owned and operated by Boston’s Smarter Travel LLC, a subsidiary of TripAdvisor, Inc., has announced the launch of Hotelwatchdog. The new website filter analyzes and compares hotels based on price, location and ratings.
Hotelwatchdog.com sifts through millions of data points to give travellers the top 20 choices for a great hotel stay and displays real-time rates for these hotels on several booking sites. “Whenever I look for a hotel stay, the first thing I do is filter out low ratings on TripAdvisor,” said George Hobica, creator, Hotelwatchdog. “And then I filter out hotels in inconvenient locations. And then I filter for price. Just as Airfarewatchdog.com only lists airfares with a high value quotient, Hotelwatchdog does the same thing for hotels. It makes the whole process faster and simpler.”
