TORONTO — Novotel Hotels and Resorts has announced Michael Kirkwood as its new executive chef.

Bringing his flair for vogue cuisine and love for Canadian contemporary style, Kirkwood will use fresh, local and artisan ingredients to create a clever fusion of flavour at the hotel.

Kirkwood has worked at Canada’s most iconic restaurants, including Avalon, Opus and Pangea. He also helped launch Birchwood kitchen, a mobile culinary studio providing cooking classes for kids and adults.
