Sarah-Dayboll-FairmontTORONTO — Fairmont is introducing new management at its properties worldwide, including Canada.

Genevieve Dumas is the new general manager of Quebec’s Fairmont Le Château Montebello. Having held progressive management positions within the company since 1996, Dumas is rejoining the company following her latest post as general manager of Marriott Residence Inn & Hilton Homewood Suites, Mont Tremblant.

Moving east, Norm Mastalir has been appointed to the role of managing director at The Fairmont Chateau Whistler. A 30-year company veteran, Mastalir previously worked as the managing director at The Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda.

On the homefront, Sarah Dayboll has been promoted to the role of director, Environmental Affairs for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Dayboll has been instrumental in progressing Fairmont’s green agenda and most recently oversaw the company’s commitment to reduce its carbon emissions under the World Wildlife Fund’s Climate Savers Program. In her expanded role, she will continue to seek out new ways to green Fairmont operations.
