CHARLOTTETOWN — P.E.I.-based Murphy Hospitality Group (MHG) has announced plans for a new boutique hotel in Moncton, N.B.

The Wesley Hotel will be located at the corner of Wesley and Queen streets, offering 75 units with an abundance of amenities, casual, contemporary decor and a focus on providing memorable guest experiences.

The hotel will also house The Gahan House Restaurant and Brewery on its main level. The Moncton location will be the Gahan House brand’s third, with sister locations currently in Charlottetown, P.E.I. and Halifax, N.S.

“New Brunswickers have been enjoying our handcrafted ales and supporting our brewery from the beginning,” says Kevin Murphy, president of MHG. “We believe in being part of the communities that support us and feel this project is the right fit. We can’t wait to bring more Gahan beers into Moncton along with our relaxed, unique atmosphere, delicious food and great service.”

The new hotel marks MHG’s first venture into New Brunswick. The company’s current portfolio includes ten restaurants, two hotels and two breweries in Charlottetown, P.E.I., as well as two restaurants in Halifax, N.S.
