TORONTO — The diverse and ever-growing metropolis of Jakarta, Indonesia is set to welcome a Fairmont Hotels & Resorts property in 2014.

The property, developed by Kajima Overseas Asia subsidiary Senavan Trikarya Sempana, will call the bustling Senavan Square — ensconced in the city’s Central Business District — home. The area already boasts the well-known Plaza Senavan shopping centre and other prime residential and commercial facilities.

“The addition of Jakarta will further strengthen our growing presence in Asia Pacific,” said Chris Cahill, president, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. “Our developments in China, including the reopening of the landmark Peace Hotel in Shanghai, together with our existing hotels in destinations, including Singapore, allow us to extend our luxury brand to both guests and homeowners.”

The hotel will feature 380 guestrooms, 108-extended stay suites, lounges and restaurants, function space, a ballroom, the brand’s signature Willow Stream Spa, the Senavan Golf Course and pool and fitness facilities.
