TORONTO — Hotels.com released its latest Hotel Price Index, revealing the average price paid for domestic hotel stays in Canada, as well as the most affordable places to stay.

The most affordable cities on the list included Quesnel, B.C., which offered hotel stays from $102 a night, with Napanee, Ont. coming in second at $106 a night and Midland, Ont. at $107.

Canadian cities that experienced the most significant rate decreases include Fort McMurray, Alta., which posted an 18-per-cent drop in average rate to $183; Dawson Creek, B.C., which experienced a 14-per-cent drop to $144; and Harrison Hot Springs, B.C., which dropped 13 per cent to $148 a night.
