TORONTO — The hotel world is saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Stuart Alexander Joliffe, general manager of the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto on April 11, 2018.

Joliffe was 56 years old and was predeceased by his parents, George Derek Jolliffe, and Dona (Waites) Jolliffe. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Nancy (Graham) Jolliffe and his children Annie, and Graham. His family’s well-being, and happiness were always first and foremost. His love of music, sailing and his humanitarian efforts were vital to him. His many friends, colleagues and family will miss him immensely.

His passion outside his business life was music and the musicians who made it. Joliffe was a past board member of Music Nova Scotia, co-chair of the host committee for the Junos in Halifax and heavily involved in the East Coast Music Awards. He was a big supporter of Unison and his generosity to the arts was unsurpassed.
