VANCOUVER — Hotel Belmont Vancouver — the city’s first-ever Ascend Collection Hotel — has opened in Vancouver.

“This hotel offers a unique product in downtown Vancouver, satisfying a gap in the hotel market. It’s been designed with the millennial traveller in mind, providing a modern, fun and vibrant hotel experience,” says Juan Duran, director of Franchise Development at Choice Hotels Canada. “We’re confident it will be loved by both the local community and out-of-town travellers.”

The 82-room boutique hotel was designed by CHIL Interior Design and offers VIP rooms and multiple bars, including two full-service lounges. The hotel also offers personalized services such as luggage assistance, concierge service and a vintage house-car service. Rooms include flat-screen TVs with cable, motion-sensor climate control, spa-grade toiletries and Keurig coffee makers.

The property, which is located in Vancouver’s entertainment district, features a variety of food-and-drink options and will be operated in partnership with the Banter Room — a renowned food-and-beverage team in Vancouver.

“This property will be ideal for business and leisure travellers who appreciate a unique experience in downtown Vancouver. The hotel was designed with the tech-savvy traveller in mind and we’re implementing amenities that will enhance their visit before, during and after staying with us,” says Jeff Leung, regional general manager of Pacific Reach’s Hospitality Division and the hotel’s general manager. “It was a comprehensive, full-scale renovation that pays tribute to the building’s history. We could not be prouder of the final product and we’re excited to introduce our concept to guests.”
