HALIFAX — Holloway Lodging Corporation has announced plans to internalize its hotel management.
The company currently manages 17 hotels internally and outsources the management of 19 hotels to Bedford, N.S.-based Pacrim Hospitality Inc. Following completion of the new agreement Jan. 30, Holloway will manage all of its hotels internally.
The internalization of hotel management offers several benefits to Holloway: Holloway anticipates it will save an aggregate of $3 million between 2015 and 2017; Holloway believes it will better manage its hotels under a single hotel management platform whose personnel are committed solely to the performance of Holloway’s hotels; and a single internal hotel-management platform may allow Holloway to secure third-party management agreements.
