NEW YORK — In celebration of its 100th anniversary on May 31, Hilton president & CEO Chris Nassetta, along with a group of colleagues, rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on May 30.

Nassetta was joined on the NYSE podium by Kristin Campbell, general counsel; Kevin Jacobs, Chief Financial Officer; and Jill Slattery, vice-president of Investor Relations; as well as 10 Hilton team members from across the U.S.

“Conrad Hilton charted an ambitious course for Hilton in 1919 and I think he’d be proud of what we’ve accomplished so far. In my view, the world’s a better place because Hilton was born 100 years ago and, if we do our job right, the world will be a better place because Hilton’s in it for the next 100 years,” says Nassetta.

Hilton has also been celebrating this major company milestone with special events at properties around the world, including the planting of 100 trees at Lambertia Close Park in Mount Gravatt East, Australia. Through these celebrations, the company aims to bring what it coined “The Hilton Effect” to life through a series of initiatives that will impact communities and surprise guests.
