OTTAWA — The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) has announced its 2014 Hall of Fame Awards of Excellence winners, recognizing individuals, companies or properties that have demonstrated significant accomplishments, leadership and commitment to Canada’s lodging industry.

The winners are: The Westin Calgary (Humanitarian); Campus Tower Suite Hotel Edmonton (Human Resources); Bellstar Hotels & Resorts, Calgary (Green Key Energy & Environment); InterContinental Hotels Group, Denham, U.K. (Green Key Energy & Environment); and The Westin Ottawa (Green Key Meetings).

“The goal of HAC’s awards program is to reward strong standards in the industry that will enable Canada to remain competitive,” said Tony Pollard, HAC president. “We are pleased to honour the 2014 award recipients, whom we feel represent some of the finest examples of professionalism, quality and excellence.”

The awards will be presented at HAC’s conference on Feb. 2 and 3 at the Hilton Toronto Hotel.
