VANCOUVER — Skål Canada, an international organization that brings together all branches of the travel and tourism industry, has awarded Grouse Mountain in Vancouver the 2015 Bill Rowe Memorial Tourism Award.

The award is given to a local individual or organization that has contributed to the success and growth of the tourism industry in Vancouver and B.C. Grouse Mountain has attracted tourists with amenities such as skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ice skating, sleigh rides and mountain ziplines. Year-round attractions include the Skyride gondola, Eye of the Wind, Wildlife Refuge, Theatre in the Sky and a range of dining options.

The award helps tourism businesses elevate their profile and status within the industry.
