MONTREAL — Groupe Germain Hospitalité recently celebrated the official opening of its Alt hotel in Griffintown, Montreal by unveiling a photographic installation.

“We wanted to highlight the opening of our 10th hotel in Canada by creating a truly special work of art, a piece that would have a strong connection to the Montreal community,” said Christiane Germain, co-president of Groupe Germain Hospitalité.

Groupe Germain Hospitalité donated $8,000 to the local charity Déclic to support “Focus,” its photography program for troubled teens whose Montreal-inspired artwork contributed to the mural.

The18-floor hotel features 154 guestrooms decorated with original design and artwork from Pascale Girardin. It has eight meeting rooms and two break areas, large TVs and creative lounges designed for brainstorming.

This is the third Groupe Germain Hospitalité hotel to be built in the greater Montreal area. To celebrate its opening, the hotel is offering guests a special rate of $119 per night until the end of May.
