EDMONTON — Urban Capital and Group Germain Hotels have announced plans for a mixed-used development in downtown Edmonton, according to CTV Edmonton.
The property is set to feature 136 residential units by Urban Capital, as well as a 156-room Alt+ hotel. However, development applications are still being finalized and will require city approval.
The new hotel will represent Group Germain’s first property in Edmonton, as well as the second location of its new Alt+ brand, which debuted earlier this year with the opening of Alt+ Hotel Quartier DIX30 in Brossard, Que.
The development, dubbed Mackenzie Tower, is being designed by Montreal-based LemayMichaud Architecture Design.
